Teddie and I
USC Gamepipe Lab Project

Teddie and I is a puzzle- platformer game that I was lucky enough to join in the summer of 2018. The story follows a young boy named Erin, a boy with a wild imagination and his friendly companion, Teddie. Although most imaginary adventures are fun and magical places, there are dark and twisted worlds that magnify at night. Teddie is not only Erin's best friend and emotional support bear, but he helps provide a comedic relief for Erin when things get too scary. One night, an escaped monster from the Nightmare Realm appears and snatches Teddie away to it's world. In a struggle to rescue his friend Teddie, Erin must journey his way through this terrifying and rotting world, unbeknownst of what lies ahead.

I am currently Lead Environment Artist for the team and as lead, the most important thing for me is to ensure that everyone's voice is heard and to promote creative freedom so that all artist's have the liberty to express new different forms of art that doesn't shy away from the stylistic look of the game. My responsibilities as lead, requires me to create and assign tasks to designated artists, provide helpful feedback in return, make sure the 3D artists update the build with current assets using Perforce and using Google Drive to manage 2D concept artist’s assignments, and attend mandatory playtest sessions and meetings where leads can brainstorm and analyze feedback for future plans of the game.
